Our sustainability certificate standard lays the groundwork for identifying more sustainable products within our assortment. To give our customers a helping hand, we mark products with our We Care Together label if they comply with our sustainability certificate standard. Depending on the underlying sustainability certificate in question, the products are assigned to one of our three sustainability categories: Organic, Responsible, Recycled. They relate to key topics covered by the sustainability certificates, while also being easy to understand.
The way in which raw materials are grown plays a key role in making manufacturing more sustainable. The materials for our products marked with our ’Organic’ symbol are at least partly grown organically, without the use of harmful pesticides. By using more sustainable and responsible materials, like organic cotton, we are reducing the negative impact on the environment, even during the cultivation stage.

Acting more sustainably calls for showing particular consideration to people, animals and nature. That is why products marked with our ‘Responsible’ symbol are more sustainable in many respects. For instance, some manufacturers use alternative fibres during production or obtain materials in a gentler way for the sake of animal welfare. In turn, other manufacturers put improving working conditions in factories and fair pay centre stage. At the same time, many manufacturers often also set extra store by protecting the natural world.

One of the key principles of sustainability is reducing the amount of resources used, for example by reusing materials. Products marked with our ‘Recycled’ symbol are at least partly made from materials enjoying a second lease of life as part of a circular approach. From recycled cotton to a PET bottle: reusability is at the heart of conserving resources.
